Early Life and College Years
George Greene was born in Hendersonville, North Carolina. He grew up in the area and attended East Henderson High School. After high school, he continued his education and football career at Western Carolina University. He played college football for the Western Carolina Catamounts.
Professional Football Career
Tiger Greene began his professional football journey in 1985. He joined the Atlanta Falcons in the NFL. After one season with the Falcons, he moved to the Green Bay Packers. He played for the Packers from 1986 to 1990.
As a safety, Tiger Greene's job was to help defend against passes. He also helped stop running plays. During his NFL career, he recorded 6 interceptions. He also had 4 sacks, which means he tackled the opposing team's quarterback behind the line of scrimmage.
After his time in the NFL, Greene also played for other teams. He was with the Miami Dolphins in 1992. In 1993, he played for the Charlotte Rage in the AFL.
