Tim was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He went to the University of Wyoming for college. After college, he started playing professional basketball. He played for teams in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA), like the Sioux Falls Skyforce. He also played basketball in Europe, in countries like Spain and France.
In 1994, Tim joined the Houston Rockets in the NBA. He was not chosen in the NBA draft, but the Rockets signed him. He was part of the Rockets team that won the NBA championship in 1995. This was a big achievement for him and the team.
Later, in 1996, he was traded to the Vancouver Grizzlies. He also played a short time for the Milwaukee Bucks. Tim played his last professional games in 2004. He was with the Yakima Sun Kings, another CBA team.
