Timothy Lee Lester (born June 15, 1968 – died January 12, 2021) was an American professional football player. He was known for his strong playing style as a running back in the National Football League (NFL).
Playing in the NFL
Tim Lester played as a running back for eight seasons in the NFL. A running back is a player who primarily carries the football. They try to run past or through the opposing team's defense.
Lester was chosen by the Los Angeles Rams in the tenth round of the 1992 NFL Draft. The NFL Draft is where professional football teams pick new players from college. After playing for the Rams, he also played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Dallas Cowboys.
