Tim Quarterman (born October 27, 1994) is an American professional basketball player. He is known for playing as a Point guard or shooting guard. Tim played college basketball for Louisiana State University (LSU) before starting his professional career.

Tim Quarterman's Early Basketball Days
High School Achievements
Tim Quarterman grew up in Savannah, Georgia. He is a tall guard who went to Sol C. Johnson High School. In his final year of high school, he was a star player. He averaged 19.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 3.4 steals per game. His amazing skills helped his team, the Atom Smashers, win the Class AAA state championship.
College Career at LSU
In 2013, Tim Quarterman joined the LSU team. He became a starter for the Tigers during his second and third years. Over three seasons, he played 98 games. He averaged 8.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game.
As a junior, Tim had an even better season. He averaged 11.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in 33 games. After this successful season, he decided to enter the 2016 NBA draft to become a professional player.
Tim Quarterman's Professional Basketball Journey
Starting with the Portland Trail Blazers
Tim Quarterman was not chosen in the 2016 NBA draft. However, he joined the Charlotte Hornets for the 2016 NBA Summer League. On July 25, 2016, he signed with the Portland Trail Blazers. He made his first NBA appearance on November 9, 2016. In that game, he scored four points.
Later, on April 12, 2017, Tim scored his career-high of 10 points in an NBA game. During his first season, he also played for two other teams. These were the Windy City Bulls and Long Island Nets in the NBA Development League. This allowed him to get more playing time and experience.
Playing for the Agua Caliente Clippers
On June 28, 2017, Tim was traded to the Houston Rockets. However, he was later released by the Rockets on October 13. In February 2018, Tim joined the Agua Caliente Clippers in the NBA G League. He played 11 games for them, averaging 8.9 points.
Return to the Houston Rockets
Tim Quarterman signed with the Houston Rockets again on March 30, 2018. He played in three games for them before being released on April 12.
Playing Overseas: Israel and New Zealand
After his time in the NBA, Tim Quarterman played basketball in other countries. On November 22, 2018, he signed a short contract with Ironi Nahariya in Israel. He played three games there, averaging 5.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.7 assists.
On April 8, 2019, Tim moved to New Zealand. He signed with the Super City Rangers for the 2019 New Zealand NBL season. He played 15 games for the Rangers, starting in all of them. He had impressive averages of 28.1 points, 5.6 assists, and 5.5 rebounds per game. He left the team on June 29, 2019.
More G League and International Play
On January 27, 2020, Tim Quarterman joined the Sioux Falls Skyforce in the NBA G League. In 2022, he played for Caballeros de Culiacán in Mexico. Later that year, he played four games for KK Feniks 2010 in North Macedonia. In March 2023, Tim had a brief time playing for the Shreveport Mavericks in The Basketball League.
