Time Out is a yummy chocolate bar made by Cadbury Ireland. It has a crispy wafer inside. This treat first came out in the United Kingdom and Ireland in 1992. It then arrived in Australia and New Zealand in 1995.
The original Time Out bar usually came in a pair. It had a wavy layer of milk chocolate between two wafers. All of this was covered in delicious Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate. Its first slogan was "the wafer break with a layer of Flake". Since 2016, the bar has changed. It is now a single bar called Time Out Wafer. In Australia, the original bar is now called "Twirl Crispy". Before that, it was known as "Twirl Breakaway".

The Story of Time Out
How Time Out Began
Time Out chocolate bars were made by Cadbury Ireland. They were sold in Ireland and the United Kingdom. In 2010, the packaging got a new look. It became a lighter blue color. The new slogan was "Everyone needs some Time Out". However, many customers did not like the lighter blue. So, after a few months, the packaging went back to its original dark blue color.
Where Time Out Was Sold
Besides Ireland and the UK, Time Out bars were also sold in other countries. You could find them in Australia, New Zealand, New York City, Japan, Canada, and South Africa.
Changes Over Time
When Time Out first came out, it was a good-sized snack. It weighed about 25 grams. Later, it became a bit smaller, weighing 20.2 grams. The single bar version eventually shrank to 16 grams before it was stopped. The main twin-finger bar weighed 32 grams. In Australia and New Zealand, it weighed 40 grams. These bars were also suitable for vegetarians.
Why Time Out Changed
In February 2015, Cadbury announced a big change. They said that Time Out bars would no longer be made in Ireland. Production moved to Poland instead. Sales of Time Out had been going down for several years. By 2016, the original Time Out bar was stopped in the UK. It was replaced by the Time Out Wafer. This new version has more wafer and less chocolate than the first one.
