Tobadill is a small town, also called a municipality, in the Tyrol region of Austria. It is part of the Landeck area. You can find Tobadill about 4 kilometers (about 2.5 miles) west of the larger town of Landeck.
History of Tobadill
Tobadill has a long history. It was first written about in official papers way back in 1275. At that time, it was called "tabulat ill".
For many years, Tobadill was part of a nearby village called Pians. However, in 1949, Tobadill became its own separate community. This meant it could make its own decisions and manage its own affairs.
Rivers Meeting in Tobadill
One interesting natural feature of Tobadill is where two rivers meet. The Rosanna River flows from the Arlberg mountains and the Stanzertal valley. The Trisanna River comes from the Silvretta mountains and the Paznaun valley.
Both rivers are about 35 kilometers (22 miles) long. They join together in Tobadill to form a new river called the Sanna (Inn). This meeting point is known as a "confluence."
