Tobias Linderoth (born on 21 April 1979) is a Swedish football manager and a former player. He is currently the manager for the Swedish club Varbergs BoIS. Tobias played as a midfielder during his career.

He played professionally in several countries, including Sweden, Norway, England, Denmark, and Turkey. Sadly, injuries made him stop playing in 2010. Tobias also played for the Swedish national team from 1999 to 2008. He played in 76 games for his country. He also represented Sweden in two World Cups (2002 and 2006) and two European Championships (2004 and 2008).

Playing for Clubs

Tobias Linderoth played for Stabæk before joining Everton in England. His time at Everton was tough because of injuries. He scored one goal for Everton in a League Cup match.

In the summer of 2004, he moved to Copenhagen in Denmark. He quickly became a key player there for three seasons. He was even made captain of the team. Under his leadership, Copenhagen won two Danish championships. They also made it to the group stage of the UEFA Champions League, which is a big achievement.

On 12 June 2007, Tobias signed a three-year contract with the Turkish team Galatasaray. He wore the number 6 jersey for them.

On 22 January 2010, Galatasaray let him go early. On 12 November 2010, Tobias Linderoth officially announced that he was stopping his playing career. He said he wanted to become a coach, just like his father. After retiring, he started working as a youth team coach at Elfsborg.

Playing for Sweden

Tobias Linderoth was a very energetic midfielder for the Swedish national team. He was also the assistant captain. He played for Sweden in the Euro 2004 and Euro 2008 tournaments. He also played in the 2002 and 2006 FIFA World Cup tournaments.

In one game at the 2002 World Cup, he ran about 14.6 kilometers (over 9 miles) during the 96 minutes of the match. This showed how hard-working he was on the field.

On 26 May 2008, Tobias scored his second goal for Sweden. It was the only goal in a 1–0 win against Slovenia. This was a friendly game before Euro 2008.

His last game for Sweden was on 6 September 2008. It was a 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification game against Albania. He got injured early in the game and had to leave the field.

Becoming a Manager

After he stopped playing football, Tobias Linderoth spent ten years managing the youth academy at Elfsborg. On 18 November 2020, he was named the manager of Skövde AIK. He is now the manager of Varbergs BoIS.
