Thomas J. Pelphrey (born July 28, 1982) is an American actor. He is famous for his roles in TV shows like Guiding Light, As the World Turns, Banshee, Iron Fist, and Ozark. He has won two Daytime Emmy Awards for his acting. He also appeared in movies such as Mank and American Murderer.

Early Life and School
Tom Pelphrey was born in Howell Township, New Jersey. He finished high school at Howell High School in 2000. Later, he went to Rutgers University and earned a degree in Fine Arts in 2004.
Acting Career
Early TV Roles
Tom Pelphrey's first big role was playing Jonathan Randall in the CBS soap opera Guiding Light. He joined the show in September 2004. People really liked his performance as the "anti-hero" character, Jonathan.
He was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for "Outstanding Younger Actor" in 2005. He won this award in April 2006. He was nominated again in 2007 and won his second Daytime Emmy Award in the same category in 2008.
After Guiding Light, Pelphrey joined As the World Turns in October 2009. He played a character named Mick Dante. His time on the show ended in February 2010.
Other Television Shows
Tom Pelphrey has appeared in many other TV shows. In 2007, he was in an episode of Numb3rs. He also had roles in Ghost Whisperer and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
In 2015, Pelphrey got a recurring role in the action drama Banshee. He played Kurt Bunker, a former neo-Nazi trying to change his life. To get ready for this role, he worked out and read books about the neo-Nazi movement.
In 2017, he appeared in Iron Fist as Ward Meachum. He then played Ben Davis in the third season of the Netflix crime drama Ozark, which came out in March 2020. His acting in Ozark was highly praised. He was nominated for several awards, including a Critics' Choice Television Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award. In the final season of Ozark (2022), he returned as Ben Davis and received an Emmy nomination for it.
More recently, in 2022, he starred in the Amazon Prime Video series Outer Range as Perry Abbott. In 2023, he was in the HBO miniseries Love & Death, playing Don Crowder. In 2024, he appeared in the miniseries A Man in Full.
Theater Performances
Tom Pelphrey has also acted on stage. In 2007, he performed in a play called A New Television Arrives Finally in New York. He also starred in In God's Hat in 2010.
In 2012, he was part of the Broadway show End of the Rainbow. In 2015, he returned to Broadway in a play called Fool for Love.
Personal Life
In 2022, Tom Pelphrey started dating actress Kaley Cuoco. They made their first public appearance together in May 2022. In October 2022, they shared that they were expecting their first child. Their daughter was born on March 30, 2023. They announced their engagement on August 14, 2024.
