Thomas J. Pelphrey (born July 28, 1982) is an American actor. He is well-known for his roles in many TV shows and movies. Some of his most famous parts include Jonathan Randall in the soap opera Guiding Light and Ben Davis in the Netflix series Ozark. He has won two Daytime Emmy Awards for his acting. He also received an Emmy nomination for his work on Ozark.

Early Life and School
Tom Pelphrey was born in Howell, New Jersey. He finished high school at Howell High School in 2000. Later, he went to Rutgers University and earned a degree in Fine Arts in 2004.
Acting Career
Starting on Guiding Light
Tom Pelphrey's first big acting job was on the TV show Guiding Light. This show was a long-running soap opera, which is a type of TV drama with many episodes. He played the character Jonathan Randall, who was a bit of a troublemaker. Tom joined the show in 2004 and quickly became popular for his acting.
He was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for "Outstanding Younger Actor" in 2005. He won this award the next year, in 2006. He won it again in 2008, showing how talented he was.
Role in As the World Turns
After Guiding Light, Tom Pelphrey joined another popular soap opera called As the World Turns. He played a character named Mick Dante from late 2009 to early 2010. His character's story ended when Mick went to prison.
Other TV Shows
Tom Pelphrey has appeared in many other TV shows. In 2007, he was in an episode of Numb3rs. He also appeared in Ghost Whisperer and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
In 2015, he got a recurring role as Kurt Bunker in the action show Banshee. To get ready for this part, he worked out and read books to understand his character better.
Later, in 2017, he played Ward Meachum in the Marvel series Iron Fist. Then, in 2020, he joined the cast of the crime drama Ozark as Ben Davis. Theater Work
Besides TV and movies, Tom Pelphrey has also acted on stage. In 2007, he performed in a play called A New Television Arrives Finally in New York. He also starred in In God's Hat in 2010.
In 2012, he was part of the Broadway show End of the Rainbow. He returned to Broadway in 2015 for a play called Fool for Love.
Personal Life
In 2022, Tom Pelphrey started dating actress Kaley Cuoco. They made their first public appearance together in May 2022. In October 2022, they shared the happy news that they were expecting their first child. Their daughter was born on March 30, 2023. They announced their engagement in August 2024.
