Tomoyuki Hirase (平瀬 智行, Hirase Tomoyuki, born 23 May 1977) is a former Japanese football player. He was a forward, which means he played in an attacking position to score goals. He played for several professional clubs in Japan and also represented his country twice as part of the Japan national team.

Club Career Highlights

Tomoyuki Hirase was born in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan, on May 23, 1977. After finishing high school, he started his professional football journey in 1996. He joined a famous team called Kashima Antlers.

Playing for Kashima Antlers

From 1999, Tomoyuki Hirase became a key player for Kashima Antlers. He helped his team achieve amazing success. In 2000, Kashima Antlers won all three major football titles in Japan. These were the J1 League, the J.League Cup, and the Emperor's Cup. Winning all three in one year is a huge achievement!

The team's success continued into 2001. They won the J1 League again, making them champions two years in a row.

Moving to Other Teams

In July 2002, Tomoyuki Hirase moved to Yokohama F. Marinos. This was a temporary move, often called a "loan," where a player plays for another team for a short time. He returned to Kashima Antlers in 2003.

Later, in August 2004, he joined Vissel Kobe. He played there for a few years before moving to Vegalta Sendai in 2008. Tomoyuki Hirase played for Vegalta Sendai until the end of the 2010 season, when he decided to retire from professional football.

National Team Journey

Tomoyuki Hirase also had the honor of playing for his country.

Representing Japan

On February 5, 2000, he played his first game for the Japan national football team. This was a match against the Mexico national football team. In total, he played two games for Japan in 2000.

Playing in the Olympics

In September 2000, Tomoyuki Hirase was chosen to play for the Japan national under-23 football team. This team represented Japan at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. He played in two matches during the Olympic tournament.
