Michael Anthony Bell II, known to many as Tone Bell, is a talented American stand-up comedian and actor. He's known for making people laugh and for his roles in many TV shows and movies.

Early Life and First Steps
Tone Bell was born in Decatur, Georgia. He went to Savannah State University where he studied communications, focusing on radio and television. He was also part of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.
After finishing college in 2004, Tone first worked as a first-grade teacher! Later, he helped with the production of an HBO movie called Warm Springs and did other promotional jobs.
He then took a job in San Francisco as a brand manager. After a year, he moved back to Atlanta. There, he started doing promotion work for a beer company. This job eventually took him to Dallas. It was in Dallas that Tone Bell started trying out his comedy skills at open-mic nights in different comedy clubs. This was the beginning of his journey into stand-up comedy.
Tone Bell's Career Highlights
Soon after moving to Los Angeles, Tone Bell got a big break in 2012. He won the NBC Stand Up For Diversity Talent Search! This win led to a special deal with the network.
He quickly started appearing in popular TV shows. He played "RJ" the bartender in the NBC sitcom Whitney. Later, he was "Tedward" in another NBC show called Bad Judge. Tone also appeared in other shows like VH1's Single Ladies, Comedy Central's Key & Peele, and hosted Jerks with Cameras on MTV.
Tone Bell also had his own web series called The Green Room on Russell Simmons' YouTube channel, All Def Digital.
In 2018, he got a main role in the CBS comedy pilot Fam. Before that, he had starred in the Netflix comedy Disjointed.
More recently, Tone Bell became the host of the Netflix reality show Drink Masters, which started in October 2022. He also stars as Khalil in the Netflix comedy series, Survival of the Thickest, which was written by Michelle Buteau.
