Tony Cetinski's Musical Journey
Tony grew up in a family of musicians in Pula, a city in Croatia. He started singing when he was just 15 years old. He performed with different local music groups.
In 1991, Tony moved from Rovinj to Zagreb to begin his professional music career. He quickly became one of the top pop stars in Croatia. In 1994, he had the honor of representing Croatia at the Eurovision Song Contest. He sang the song "Nek' ti bude ljubav sva" at this big international music event.
Awards and Achievements
Tony has won many awards for his music. In 2006, at the 10th Croatian Radio Festival, he won all three main prizes in the pop-rock category. These included the Grand Prix, the Listener's award, and the Music Editors award.
He also recorded a song called "Lagala nas mala" with the Macedonian singer Toše Proeski. This song was very popular and appeared on two of Toše Proeski's albums.
In 2009, Tony Cetinski won the Porin award for the best male vocal performance. He won this award for his song "Ako to se zove ljubav." That same year, he performed two sold-out concerts at Arena Zagreb, with over 30,000 fans attending.
