Tony Terry, born Antonio Terry on March 12, 1964, is an American singer and actor. He is known for his R&B and soul music. Tony had many popular songs in the late 1980s and early 1990s. His biggest hit was "With You" in 1991. This song reached number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Tony Terry's Music Career
Early Days and First Hits
Tony Terry went to the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C. After school, he sang backup for groups like Sweet Sensation and The Boogie Boys. In 1987, he signed a deal with Epic Records.
His first song, "She's Fly," came out that same year. It became a top 10 hit on the R&B charts. His first album, Forever Yours, was released in 1988. It also did well, reaching the top 40 on the R&B albums chart. Other songs like "Lovey Dovey" and "Forever Yours" also became popular R&B hits.
Big Success with "With You"
In 1990, Tony released his second album, which was self-titled. This album included his most famous song, "With You." This song was a huge hit, reaching the top 20 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. It also made it to the top 10 on the R&B chart. Another song from that album, "Everlasting Love," was also a top 10 R&B hit.
After his time with Epic, Tony Terry joined Virgin Records. In 1994, he released the album Heart of a Man. The song "When a Man Cries" from this album was a top 40 R&B hit. Tony also sang backup for Yolanda Adams on her song "Gotta Have Love." He even appeared in the music video for it.
Tony's songs have been featured in movies too. You can hear his music in films like Gladiator, Tap, and King's Ransom. In 1991, Tony was nominated for two Soul Train Music Awards for his song "With You." The music video for "With You" was produced by Anita Baker and directed by actor Blair Underwood.
In 2015, Tony Terry released a new music project called I Tony 6. He continues to make music and perform.

Besides singing, Tony Terry is also an actor. He has performed in several stage plays. He was in Sisterella, a show that was partly produced by Michael Jackson. He also appeared in "Mama, I Want to Sing."
Tony has worked with other famous actors and singers in plays. He was in David E. Talbert's His Woman, His Wife with Stephanie Mills. He also toured nationally in Tall Dark and Handsome. Tony played the Tin Man in The Wiz national tour. He has continued to perform in stage productions over the years.
