Antonius "Toon" Geurts (born February 29, 1932, died October 5, 2017) was a famous Dutch sprint canoer. He was very good at canoe racing, especially in the K-2 1000 meter event. He competed in three Olympic Games.

Anton Geurts was a talented athlete from the Netherlands. He specialized in sprint canoeing, which is a fast boat race. He competed in the K-2 1000 meter event. This means two people in a kayak racing over 1000 meters.
Olympic Success
Toon Geurts took part in three Olympic Games. He showed great skill in his sport.
- At the 1960 Olympics in Rome, Italy, he finished seventh in the K-2 1000 m race.
- Four years later, at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics in Japan, he won a silver medal. This was a fantastic achievement for him and his country.
- He competed one last time at the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City. There, he finished in fourth place.
Anton Geurts passed away on October 5, 2017. He is remembered as a dedicated and successful Olympic canoer.
