What the Show Is About
Toon In with Me brings back the style of old children's TV shows. These shows were popular from the 1950s to the 1980s. They often had a live host, funny skits, and puppets, all shown between classic cartoons.
The show takes place in the MeTV studios. Bill Leff plays Bill the Cartoon Curator, who is in charge of the cartoons.
His funny co-host is Toony, a tuna puppet. Toony loves cartoons! Bill has to look after Toony because Toony's owner, Goldie Fisher (played by Leila Gorstein), is traveling the world. As Bill and Toony show cartoons, they also deal with funny problems in the studio. They even video-chat with Goldie and get helpful tips from Mr. Quizzer, a game show host. Kevin Fleming plays both Toony and Mr. Quizzer.
Every episode features five classic animated shorts. At the end of the show, Bill and Toony share drawings and photos. These are sent in by fans through the show's website.
