Toreno (called Torenu in the Leonese language) is a small town and a municipality in Spain. It is located in the beautiful region of El Bierzo, which is part of the province of León in the Castile and León area.
In 2004, a count of people (called a census) showed that about 3,792 people lived in Toreno. By 2018, the population was around 3,157 people. A municipality is like a local government area, similar to a city or a county.
