But Dipper finds a secret journal that talks about all the weird things in Gravity Falls. He starts to think Norman might be a zombie!
The Story of the Episode
The episode begins with Dipper and Mabel speeding away in a golf cart. A huge monster is chasing them! Dipper then tells us how they got to this point. Their parents sent them to Gravity Falls, Oregon, for the summer. They were going to stay with their great uncle Stan. Dipper was not excited about working at the Mystery Shack. It was a tourist trap and gift shop.
While hanging up signs, Dipper found something amazing. He stumbled upon a rusty machine hidden in a tree. It opened a secret spot. Inside, Dipper found a mysterious book. It had a golden hand with the number 3 on it. He started reading it right away. The book was full of secrets about Gravity Falls. It talked about all the strange things in the town.
Dipper learned that Mabel was trying to have an "epic summer romance." She had a date with her new boyfriend, Norman. Dipper thought Norman was a zombie. He started filming them to prove it. Mabel got annoyed when Dipper kept saying he didn't trust Norman.
Later, Norman and Mabel were on a date in the forest. Norman then showed his true form. He was actually a group of gnomes! Their leader was named Jeff. Mabel did not want to marry a gnome. So, the gnomes kidnapped her. They dragged her deeper into the forest.
Meanwhile, Dipper watched the video he took. He saw a part where Norman's hand fell off! He quickly grabbed a golf cart from the Shack. He rushed into the forest to find Mabel. Dipper was shocked that Norman was just gnomes. He managed to save Mabel by knocking Jeff over with a shovel.
Jeff got angry and called all the gnomes. They formed a giant gnome monster to catch Mabel. Dipper and Mabel tried to escape. But the giant gnome chased them all the way back to the Mystery Shack. Mabel seemed ready to give up. She even agreed to marry Jeff. But then she grabbed a leaf blower. She had been using it to practice kissing. Mabel used the leaf blower to blow all the gnomes away!
That night, Stan let Dipper and Mabel pick one item from the gift shop. Mabel chose a grappling hook. Dipper got a new hat. As they got ready for bed, Stan did something sneaky. He went into a hidden room behind the vending machine in the rec room. He made sure no one saw him.
