Trade Lake is a town located in Burnett County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. In 2010, the population of the town was 823 people. Some smaller communities, like Four Corners and Trade Lake itself, are found within the town. Part of the community of Pole Cat Crossing is also located here.
Where is Trade Lake Located?
The town of Trade Lake is in the southwestern part of Burnett County. It shares its southern and eastern borders with Polk County. Two important lakes, Big Trade Lake and Little Trade Lake, are found near the center of the town. The community of Trade Lake is close to the northeast side of Little Trade Lake.
The town covers a total area of about 91.9 square kilometers (or 35.5 square miles). Most of this area, about 84.2 square kilometers (32.5 square miles), is land. The rest, about 7.7 square kilometers (3.0 square miles), is water, mainly from the lakes.
Who Lives in Trade Lake?
Based on the census from 2000, there were 871 people living in Trade Lake. These people lived in 366 households, and 260 of these were families. The town had about 26.8 people per square mile. There were also 625 housing units available.
