Traiguera is a small town and a municipality in Spain. It is located in the Baix Maestrat area, which is part of the Castelló province. This province is in the Valencian Community. Traiguera is also part of a group of towns called the Taula del Sénia.
The town sits in the middle of the Baix Maestrat region. It is north of the Muntanyes de Cervera mountains. The Serra de Sant Pere mountain range is to the west of Traiguera. Long ago, a Greek geographer named Ptolemy mentioned this town as part of a region called Ilercavonia.
What People Do in Traiguera
People in Traiguera grow crops like almonds, olives, and oranges. These are common Mediterranean plants. The town also has a long history of making ceramics. This traditional craft has faced challenges recently. The name 'Traiguera' comes from a type of wild cereal called Aegilops geniculata. This plant was grown in the area until the Middle Ages.

One of the most popular places to visit near Traiguera is the Santuari de la Font de la Salut. This special building is a sanctuary, located about 2 kilometers south of the town. It is surrounded by beautiful mountains.
