Story of the War for Cybertron
The War for Cybertron Trilogy tells an exciting story across three parts. It shows the ongoing battle between the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons.
Chapter 1: "Siege"
The planet Cybertron has been badly damaged by the long war between the Autobots and Decepticons. Megatron, the Decepticon leader, wants to use the AllSpark to change all Autobots into Decepticons. But Optimus Prime, the Autobot leader, wants to stop him. Optimus is even ready to destroy Cybertron to save it from Megatron's plan.
Early in the story, Bumblebee and Wheeljack find a special space bridge while looking for energy. They are caught by Decepticons like Starscream and Jetfire. Optimus Prime saves them and introduces Bumblebee to the Autobots on their ship, the Ark. Bumblebee leaves, saying he doesn't want to fight.
Later, Ultra Magnus gives up to the Decepticons because he is tired of the war. Megatron tricks him and tries to find the Autobot base. This leads to a fight where the Decepticon Impactor is thought to be dead. But he is found alive and switches sides after being fixed by the Autobot Ratchet.
Wheeljack then leads the Autobots to Ratchet. They convince Ratchet to fix the space bridge. Jetfire later leaves the Decepticons and joins the Autobots. At the end of "Siege," Optimus Prime sends the AllSpark through the space bridge to a secret location.
Chapter 2: "Earthrise"
After the events of "Siege," both the Autobots and Decepticons leave Cybertron. They are all searching for the AllSpark, which leads them to land on Earth. During their journey, some mercenary Transformers attack the Autobot ship, the Ark. In the end, the Autobots and Decepticons actually work together to defeat a powerful enemy called Scorponok.
Chapter 3: "Kingdom"
In the final chapter, "Kingdom," things get even more exciting! Characters from the Beast Wars series join the fight. This means the Maximals (who are like animal-themed Autobots) and the Predacons (who are like animal-themed Decepticons) team up with the original Autobots and Decepticons. They all come together for a huge battle that will change their future forever.
Toys of the War for Cybertron
The War for Cybertron Trilogy also has a cool line of action figures. These toys are special because they have many 5-millimeter ports. These ports let you attach different weapons and accessories to the figures, making them very customizable!
The toy line is split into three parts, just like the story: "Siege," "Earthrise," and "Kingdom." The designs of these Transformers toys are based on the classic Transformers: Generation 1 series and the Beast Wars series. These toys are made for older fans and focus on great movement and high quality. They also have tricky ways to change between robot and vehicle modes.

After the Prime Wars Trilogy cartoon ended in July 2018, Hasbro and Netflix announced a new War for Cybertron Trilogy animated series. It was made by Rooster Teeth, Allspark Animation, and Polygon Pictures. The show was planned for release in 2020.
F. J. DeSanto returned as the main person in charge of the show. George Krstic, Gavin Hignight, and Brandon M. Easton joined as writers. The first season was supposed to come out in June 2020, but it was moved to July 30, 2020, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The second season was released on December 30, 2020. The third and final season was released in July 2021.
Shuzo John Shiota, the President of Polygon Pictures, was very excited to work on the series. He said that the Transformers universe has many interesting characters and stories. Tom Warner, a Senior Vice President at Hasbro, also mentioned how popular the Transformers brand is around the world. He believed this new Netflix series would bring a unique story to both old and new fans.
Matt Hullum, a co-founder of Rooster Teeth, was proud that this was the first big project for their Rooster Teeth Studios. He said they enjoyed bringing their storytelling and animation skills to the show. The third and final part of the story, called Kingdom, was released in July 2021.
