Travis Stork's Career Journey
Travis Stork worked hard in school to become a doctor. He graduated with high honors from Duke University. Later, he earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia. After medical school, he began training to be an emergency doctor. This training took place at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
From Medical Training to TV Star
While training to be an emergency doctor, Travis Stork appeared on a TV show. He was on Season 8 of The Bachelor. On the show, he chose a schoolteacher named Sarah Stone. It was a funny coincidence because she lived very close to him in Nashville. However, their relationship ended just one week after the show's final episode aired.
After the show, he finished his medical training. He then worked as an emergency doctor. He helped people in the emergency rooms at Vanderbilt and a hospital in Colorado.

On the show, Travis Stork led a group of other doctors. These doctors specialized in different areas, like kids' health or surgery. They talked about health issues and answered questions from the audience. The idea for The Doctors came from segments on the Dr. Phil show. Travis Stork often appeared on Dr. Phil too.
In 2010, The Doctors won a special award. It received the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Talk Show Informative. This award recognized the show for being a great source of information.
It's always good to think carefully about health advice you hear on TV. A study in 2014 looked at the advice given on medical talk shows. It found that most of the advice was supported by evidence.
