Trentavis Friday's Early Life and School
Trentavis grew up in Gastonia, North Carolina. He went to Cherryville High School. After high school, he attended Florida State University. He studied there for one year.
Becoming a Professional Sprinter
In November 2015, Trentavis decided to become a professional athlete. This means he would focus on running as his job. He signed a four-year contract with a company called Xtep. This contract helped him train for the 2016 Summer Olympics.
Competing in the Olympic Trials
In 2016, Trentavis took part in the U.S. Olympic Trials. These trials are big races to pick athletes for the Olympics. He ran in his first race, called a preliminary. He finished fifth in that race.
