Trevon Nykee Bluiett (born November 5, 1994) is an American professional basketball player. He plays for Limoges CSP in France's top league, LNB Pro A. Before becoming a pro, he played college basketball for the Xavier Musketeers.

High School Basketball Journey

Trevon Bluiett went to Park Tudor School in Indiana. He was a star player there. During his time, he helped his team win three state championships.

Winning State Titles

Bluiett won two of his state titles with Yogi Ferrell, who later played for the LA Clippers. His last state championship was won alongside Jaren Jackson Jr.. Jaren Jackson Jr. is the son of NBA champion Jaren Jackson.

High School Records

Bluiett scored an amazing 2,568 points in his high school career. This is the 6th highest score in Indiana high school history! In his final year, he averaged 35.7 points and 11.4 rebounds per game. He even scored 38 points in the 2014 2A state title game.

Choosing a College Team

Trevon first planned to play for UCLA. This was because his old coach, Ed Schilling, was an assistant coach there. But Trevon later changed his mind. He decided to play for Xavier instead. He chose Xavier because it gave him a chance to compete in the Big East Conference.

College Basketball Career

Trevon Bluiett played four years of college basketball at Xavier University. He became a very important player for the team.

Freshman Year Success

As a freshman, Trevon was the second-highest scorer on his team. He averaged 11.0 points per game. He was also named to the Big East All-Rookie Team. He was even named Big East Rookie of the Week twice!

Sophomore Year Improvements

Before his second year, Trevon worked hard to improve his diet and fitness. He was named to a special list for the Naismith College Player of the Year award. At the end of the season, he was chosen as a Third-team All-American by USA Today. He also made the First Team All-Big East. After this, he thought about joining the NBA draft. But he decided to stay at Xavier for another year.

Junior Year Highlights

In his junior year, Trevon had an amazing game against Xavier's rivals, Cincinnati. He scored 40 points in the 2017 Crosstown Shootout. He also tied a school record by making nine three-pointers in that game. This was the most points scored by a Xavier player since David West in 2003.

Reaching 2,000 Points

On January 24, 2018, Trevon reached a big milestone. He scored his 2,000th career point! He was only the fifth player in Xavier's history to achieve this.

Professional Basketball Journey

After college, Trevon Bluiett started his professional basketball career. He has played for several teams in different leagues.

Starting in the NBA G League

Trevon was not chosen in the 2018 NBA draft. However, he signed a deal to play in the NBA Summer League with the New Orleans Pelicans. He then signed a special "two-way contract" with the Pelicans. This meant he could play for both the Pelicans and their G League team. He was sent to the Westchester Knicks and later to the Salt Lake City Stars. In December 2019, he scored 29 points for the Salt Lake City Stars. He also made a career-high seven three-pointers in that game.

Playing Overseas

In 2021, Trevon joined Beşiktaş Icrypex in Turkey. He averaged 6.8 points per game there. In February 2022, he moved to Germany to play for Hamburg Towers. Later that year, he signed with MKS Dąbrowa Górnicza in Poland. In 2023, he played for Victoria Libertas Pesaro in Italy. Since August 2024, Trevon has been playing for Limoges CSP in France.

Personal Life

Trevon Bluiett's parents are Reynardo and Mariam Bluiett. He has three siblings: Ashtyn, Juwaan, and Brody. Both of his parents served in the United States Marine Corps. They were part of Operation Desert Storm in the 1990s. They met while serving in the Marines in the late 1980s. This was at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina.
