George Kenneth "Trey" Griffey III, born on January 19, 1994, is a former American football player. He played as a wide receiver. Trey is famous for being the son of Ken Griffey Jr., a legendary baseball player. Ken Griffey Jr. is in the Baseball Hall of Fame. Trey played college football at the University of Arizona.

Early Life and College Football
Trey Griffey went to Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando, Florida. In his final year, he caught the ball 73 times. He gained 970 yards and scored 11 touchdowns. After high school, he decided to play college football at the University of Arizona.
When he first joined Arizona in 2012, Trey took a "redshirt" year. This means he practiced with the team but did not play in games. It helped him get ready for college-level play.
In 2013, Trey played in 11 games for Arizona. He started four of those games. He caught 14 passes for 170 yards and scored two touchdowns. As a sophomore in 2014, he played in all 14 games. He started two games that year. He had 31 catches for 405 yards and one touchdown. In his junior year, he played in only six games because of an injury. He still managed to catch 11 passes for 284 yards and one touchdown.
Playing in the NFL
Trey Griffey was not chosen in the 2017 NFL draft. This means no team picked him during the official draft process. However, he still got a chance to play professionally.
Indianapolis Colts
On May 4, 2017, Trey signed with the Indianapolis Colts. He joined them as an undrafted free agent. This means he was not drafted but was free to sign with any team. On June 12, 2017, the Colts released him because of an injury. He was later fully released on July 7, 2017.
Miami Dolphins
On August 15, 2017, Trey signed with the Miami Dolphins. He joined their team for a short time. He was released by the Dolphins on September 2, 2017.
