Triglochin striata is a cool plant that grows in many parts of the world! You can find it in places like New Zealand, South America, North America, Africa, Australia, and even Southern Portugal.
This plant is a perennial, which means it lives for more than two years. It has long, thin leaves with lines running along them, almost like stripes. This is why it's often called streaked arrow grass. People also know it as three-rib arrowgrass or three-ribbed arrow-grass because of how its leaves look.
Where It Lives
Triglochin striata loves to live near the coast. You can often find it in wet, muddy areas like salt marshes and estuaries. These are places where rivers meet the sea.
It also grows in damp spots on coastal cliffs, on beaches with lots of rocks, and in wet grass near the ocean. Sometimes, you might even spot it inland around the edges of lakes or in other moist places. It can even grow in tall forests!
