Trinity Center is a small community in Trinity County, California, United States. It is located about 29 miles (47 km) north of Weaverville. This area is famous for Trinity Lake, which is a very popular spot for tourists in the summer.
Trinity Center has a store, an airport called Trinity Center Airport, a marina for boats, a community church, and several places to camp or stay. The nearby community of Coffee Creek is also close by. The ZIP code for Trinity Center is 96091. The town sits at an elevation of about 2,390 feet (728 meters) above sea level. History of Trinity Center
The first town of Trinity Center was started in 1851. It was a stop for people traveling further north. This original town is now underwater, beneath Trinity Lake. The lake was created when the Trinity River Dam was built in 1961.
Before the dam, some buildings were moved from the old town to where Trinity Center is today. These included the I.O.O.F. building and several homes. Trinity Center was once a gold mining town. You can still see signs of this, like the piles of leftover rock from mining at the north end of the lake.

Trinity Center is a small area of land. It covers about 5.2 square miles (13.5 square kilometers). All of this area is land, with no water within its official boundaries.
Climate and Weather
Trinity Center has a type of weather called a hot-summer mediterranean climate. This means it has hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. On climate maps, this is shown as "Csa".
