Trins is a small town, also called a municipality, in Austria. It's located in the Tyrol region, about 20 kilometers (12 miles) south of the big city of Innsbruck. Trins sits right next to a stream called the Gschnitzbach.
This town has a long history! It was first mentioned way back in the year 1030. Back then, it was known as "Trunnes." For a long time, Trins was part of another village called Gschnitz. But in 1811, Trins became its own separate municipality.
