Troy Junior Clifton Dargan (born October 15, 1997 – died December 24, 2023) was a talented rugby league player. He was born in Australia but also played for the Cook Islands on the international stage. Troy usually played as a five-eighth (five-eighth) or halfback (halfback). In 2020, he played two games for the famous South Sydney Rabbitohs team in Australia's top competition, the National Rugby League (NRL).

Early Life and Background
Troy Dargan was born in Sydney, Australia. He had a rich background, being of both Cook Islands and Indigenous Australian descent.
He attended Knox Grammar School in Wahroonga, Sydney. While at school, Troy showed his rugby league skills. In 2014, he was chosen to represent the Australian Schoolboys team. This is a big honor for young players.
Troy started his junior rugby league career with the Cabramatta Two Blues club. Later, he signed with the Parramatta Eels to continue his development.

International Debut in 2019
In 2019, Troy made his first appearance for the Cook Islands. This was a special moment for him. He played against South Africa in a game to qualify for the 2021 Rugby League World Cup.

- He scored two more tries in his second game against the United States. The Cook Islands won that game 38–16.

Troy made his debut in the National Rugby League (NRL) in 2020. He played for the South Sydney Rabbitohs in round 3 of the 2020 NRL season. This game was against the Sydney Roosters.
Troy did not play any games for South Sydney in the 2021 NRL season. After this, his contract with the club was not renewed.
Playing for Blacktown Workers in 2023
In 2023, Troy joined the Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles. This team is the reserve grade side for the Manly Sea Eagles. He played six games for them in the NSW Cup season.
On November 11, Troy signed a contract to join the Canberra Raiders for the 2024 NRL season. This showed his determination to keep playing at a high level.
Passing Away
Sadly, Troy Dargan passed away on December 24, 2023. He was on holiday in Aitutaki, Cook Islands, when he was involved in a motorcycle accident. Troy was 26 years old.
