Turtmann-Unterems is a small town, also called a municipality, located in the Valais area of Switzerland. It's part of the Leuk district. This town was formed on January 1, 2013, when two smaller towns, Turtmann and Unterems, joined together.

Exploring Turtmann-Unterems: Its Land and Location
Turtmann-Unterems covers an area of about 6.8 square kilometers (2.6 square miles). A good part of this land, about 14.2%, is used for farming. Forests cover another 12.4% of the area. About 3.1% of the land has buildings or roads, while the rest is mostly unproductive land like mountains.
Before Turtmann and Unterems merged, they were separate places.
- Turtmann was located in the Rhone valley, near the entrance to the Turtmann valley. It included the main village of Turtmann and smaller areas called Tännu and Ried.
- Unterems was higher up on the left side of the Rhone valley. It had the village of Unterems and tiny settlements like Ze Schmidu, Feldishaus, and Prupräsu.
