Tuscarora is a small place in Frederick County, Maryland. It's called an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government.
The community gets its name from Tuscarora Creek, a stream that flows nearby. You can find an old post office right along Maryland Route 28, which runs through the area. Long ago, this place was known as "Licksville," named after another local creek.
Tuscarora is located in southern Frederick County. To its west, you'll find Point of Rocks, and to the north is Adamstown.
