Twin Grove is located in the western part of McLean County, in the state of Illinois. It sits right along Illinois Route 9. The community is about 5 miles (8 kilometers) west of Bloomington. Bloomington is the main city and the county seat for McLean County.

A stream called Kings Mill Creek flows south through the western side of Twin Grove. This creek eventually joins the Middle Fork of Sugar Creek. This larger creek is part of the Sangamon River watershed. The water from these creeks flows west towards the Illinois River.
