"Two Cars in Every Garage and Three Eyes on Every Fish" is an episode from the second season of The Simpsons. It first aired in the United States on November 1, 1990. In this story, Bart Simpson catches a very unusual fish. This fish has three eyes! He finds it in a river near the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant.
This strange discovery causes big trouble for the power plant. People start to worry about pollution. To stop the plant from being closed down, Mr. Burns, who owns the plant, decides to run for governor. A governor is a leader of a state, like a president for a smaller area. Mr. Burns starts his political campaign. He tries to convince people to vote for him.
At first, most people do not like Mr. Burns. But his campaign helps him become very popular. He ends up in a very close race with another candidate, Mary Bailey. Before the election, Mr. Burns decides to have dinner with a random employee. Homer Simpson is chosen for this special dinner, which makes Marge, his wife, quite unhappy.

The Three-Eyed Fish
The three-eyed fish is named Blinky. Bart catches Blinky while fishing in the river. This river is located downstream from the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant. The fish's unusual appearance suggests that the plant might be polluting the water.

The night before the election, Mr. Burns decides to have dinner with an average family. He wants to show people that he cares about regular citizens. Homer Simpson's family is chosen. This dinner is a big event for the Simpsons. Mr. Burns tries to act like a normal person, but it is difficult for him.
