Tyrone Gregory Fyffe (born June 4, 1971), also known as Sugarless, is a talented music producer from Queens, New York City. He creates the beats and sounds for many popular songs. Throughout his career, he has worked with famous artists like MC Lyte, Foxy Brown, Slick Rick, Ja Rule, and 50 Cent. He has also remixed songs for LL Cool J and Nas.

How Ty Fyffe Started in Music

Ty Fyffe began his music journey in 1992. He met another producer named Teddy Riley through a friend, Franklin Grant. Ty Fyffe joined Teddy Riley and others to help produce an album called Hard or Smooth. This album included the huge hit song "Rump Shaker". This song was so popular that it sold over two million copies! After this success, Ty Fyffe continued to work with Teddy Riley and Franklin Grant on projects for artists like MC Lyte.

Becoming "Sugarless" and Big Hits

Around 1995, Ty Fyffe started to be known by his nickname, 'Sugarless'. He worked a lot with producer Erick Sermon. By the late 1990s, he had produced music for many well-known artists, including LL Cool J, Redman, and Foxy Brown.

One of his biggest achievements was producing the song "Enjoy Yourself" for A+. This song became a hit all over the world! He also helped produce "Judgement Day" for Method Man. Later, he started working closely with Irv Gotti and became a regular producer for Ja Rule and other artists from Roc-A-Fella Records, like Jay-Z.

Expanding His Musical Reach

Before 2001, Ty Fyffe mostly worked with hip hop artists from the East Coast of the United States. But after that, he started working with musicians from all over the country. He produced songs for West Coast artists like Jayo Felony and Xzibit. He also worked with Midwest hip hop artists such as Royce da 5'9" and Bone Thugs-n-Harmony. Plus, he produced for Southern hip hop groups like UGK.

A major moment was when he co-produced the song "Straight to the Bank" with the famous producer Dr. Dre. This led to Ty Fyffe working on many projects for G-Unit, including albums for 50 Cent. In 2010, Ty Fyffe even released his own mixtape called The Pyrex.

Ty Fyffe's Recent Work

From 2010 to 2020, Ty Fyffe continued to produce music for many artists. He worked with Ghostface Killah, Redman, and Jadakiss. He also produced tracks for Erick Sermon's 2019 album Vernia.

In 2019, Ty Fyffe was chosen as one of the judges for the 3rd annual Beat Battle Music Producer Challenge in London. This competition helps find new talented music producers.

Ty Fyffe has his own music studio called The Music Factory. It is located in West Hempstead, New York.
