Playing for Clubs

Early Years and Big Moves

In the 2003–04 season, Uğur did something amazing. He scored six goals in one match for Go Ahead Eagles against Cambuur! This made bigger clubs notice him. He then signed with Heerenveen, where he had a fantastic first season.

In 2004, Uğur won a special free-kick tournament in Spain called Free Kick Masters. He beat many famous players, including Zinédine Zidane, who was a football legend!

Playing in Turkey and Back Home

In 2007, Uğur moved to Turkey to play for Gaziantepspor. He scored a few goals for them. Later, he moved to another Turkish club, Sivasspor. However, his time there was short.

In 2010, Uğur returned to the Netherlands. He joined AGOVV, a club from his hometown. After that, he played football at an amateur level for CSV Apeldoorn.

Playing for His Country

In 2005, Uğur had to choose which country he wanted to play for: the Netherlands or Turkey. He decided to play for the Netherlands.

He played his only international game on 9 February 2005 against England. He came into the game as a substitute in the second half. The match ended in a 0–0 draw. Because this was a friendly game, he could have still chosen to play for Turkey later, but he didn't.
