Uğur Yıldırım (born 8 May 1982) is a Dutch football coach and former football player. He was known for his amazing free kicks. He even became a "free kick world champion" during his time playing for SC Heerenveen. After he stopped playing, he started coaching young players at the Go Ahead Eagles club.
Uğur Yıldırım played one game for the Netherlands national team.

Playing Career Highlights
Starting Out: Go Ahead Eagles
Uğur Yıldırım was very good at taking free kicks. He started his football journey in the youth academy of Go Ahead Eagles. He played for their main team from 1999 to 2004. In the 2003–04 season, he did something amazing. He scored six goals in one game against Cambuur! This special achievement made bigger clubs notice him.
Time at Heerenveen
After his great performance, Yıldırım signed a contract with Heerenveen. He had a fantastic first season there. In 2004, he won a special free kick competition called "Free Kick Masters" in Marbella. He even beat famous players like Zinédine Zidane!
Playing in Turkey
In July 2007, Uğur Yıldırım moved to Turkey. He joined a club called Gaziantepspor and signed a three-year contract. While playing for them, he scored three goals. Later, he moved to another Turkish club, Sivasspor. However, his time there was not very successful, and he left after only six months.
Back to the Netherlands
After his time in Turkey, Yıldırım tried out for a few English clubs. These included Blackburn Rovers, Plymouth Argyle, and Watford. He also tried out for a club in Azerbaijan and another Dutch team. In January 2009, he signed a contract with Kasımpaşa until the end of that season.
In August 2010, Yıldırım decided to join AGOVV, a club from his hometown in the Netherlands. He signed a one-year contract with them. After that, he played football at an amateur level for CSV Apeldoorn.
International Football
On 22 January 2005, Uğur Yıldırım chose to play for the Netherlands. He had to pick between playing for the Netherlands or Turkey. He played his only international game on 9 February 2005 against England. He came into the game as a substitute in the 64th minute. The game ended in a 0–0 draw. Since this was a friendly match, he could have still chosen to play for Turkey later.
Coaching Career
After he finished playing football, Uğur Yıldırım started a new career as a coach. He began coaching young teams in the Go Ahead Eagles youth academy. At the same time, he was also studying to get his coaching diploma. From 2017 to 2019, he coached a team called TKA. Since 1 July 2020, he has been coaching the Go Ahead Eagles Under-16 team.
