Sestri Levante played in Serie C for three seasons. This was between 1946 and 1949. After that, the team mostly played in lower leagues. These included Promozione, Eccellenza, and Serie D.
Recent Success and Promotion
In the 2011–12 season, the team moved up from Eccellenza Liguria to Serie D. This was a big step for the club.
On April 6, 2023, Sestri Levante achieved a great success. They won the Group A title of the 2022–23 Serie D league. This win meant they were promoted back to Serie C. They secured their promotion with four games still left to play in the season.
