Discovering Sestri Levante's Football Journey
This football club was started a long time ago, in 1919. Imagine, that's over 100 years of football history!
Early Years in Serie C
Between 1946 and 1949, Sestri Levante played in Serie C. This was a very important league for them back then. After these years, the team played in other leagues. These included Promozione, Eccellenza, and Serie D.
Rising Through the Ranks: From Serie D to Serie C
The team worked hard to get back to higher leagues. In the 2011–12 season, they moved up from Eccellenza Liguria to Serie D. This was a big step for the club.
Then, on April 6, 2023, something exciting happened! Sestri Levante won their group in the 2022–23 Serie D league. This win meant they were promoted back to Serie C. They achieved this with four games still left to play! It was a fantastic achievement for the team.
