Ulm is a small community in Cascade County, Montana, in the United States. It's known as a census-designated place (CDP), which means it's a special area counted by the census bureau.
Ulm started as a big ranch owned by a cattleman named William Ulm. The town was named after him. In 2010, about 738 people lived here. It is part of the larger Great Falls, Montana area.
The town's post office opened in 1883. A few years later, in 1887, Ulm became a stop on the Montana Central Railway. This helped the town grow. In 1914, a bridge was built across the Missouri River nearby.
