Umoⁿhoⁿ Nation Public Schools, also known as Omaha Nation Public Schools (UNSPS), is a school district located in Macy, Nebraska. This school serves students from Pre-Kindergarten all the way through 12th grade. Macy is an important place for the Omaha tribe, as it is where their tribal government is located. The school district is found in Thurston County, Nebraska. It includes parts of Blackbird Township and Anderson Township.

School History and Projects

In the years leading up to 2023, Omaha Nation Public Schools started a special community garden project. This project helped students learn about healthy living and future job opportunities. It is part of a program called Jobs for America's Graduates (JAG) in Nebraska. By 2024, the school began using this program to create a cafeteria that focuses on Native American cuisine. This means students can enjoy traditional foods.

The school campus has a main building and four other buildings. These buildings are organized into three different sections for students of various ages.

  • The elementary school serves students from Kindergarten through 5th grade.
  • The middle school is for students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.
  • The high school is for students in 9th through 12th grades.
