Unibón is a special area called a barrio located in the town of Morovis, Puerto Rico. In 2010, about 3,853 people lived in Unibón. This barrio is divided into fifteen smaller parts, which are known as sectors.

History of Unibón

Puerto Rico became a territory of the United States after the Spanish–American War. This happened because of an agreement called the Treaty of Paris of 1898. In 1899, the United States government counted everyone living in Puerto Rico. This count, called a census, showed that 643 people lived in Unibón barrio at that time.

Unibón's Sectors

Barrios like Unibón are divided into even smaller local areas. These smaller parts are called sectores (which means sectors in English). The names for these sectors can be different. Some are simply called sector, while others might be named urbanización, reparto, barriada, or residencial.
