Union Township is a special kind of local government area called a civil township in Branch County, Michigan. In 2020, about 2,942 people lived here.
The village of Union City is the main town in the township. It is the only place here that has its own local government. Most of Union Township is farmland. There is also a small, unofficial community called Hodunk. It is located where Hog Creek and the Coldwater River meet.

A main road called M-60 goes through the northwest part of the township. The St. Joseph River flows through Union City and the township, just south of M-60.
