Stuart Daniel Baker (born November 7, 1954) is an American musician, songwriter, and voice actor. He is best known by his stage name, Unknown Hinson. He was also the voice of Early Cuyler in the animated TV show Squidbillies for many years.

About Unknown Hinson
Stuart Daniel Baker grew up in Albemarle, North Carolina. He was a music teacher and played music in recording studios. He created his character, Unknown Hinson, for a TV show called The Wild Wild South. This show was on public-access TV in the Charlotte area. It featured funny skits and music performances.
After his co-star passed away in 1995, Stuart Baker started his own show. It was called The Unknown Hinson Show. This show was very popular. It won awards for being the "Best Public-Access Television Show" four years in a row. Even after the show ended, Baker continued to perform as Unknown Hinson. He played live concerts and released his own music.

Unknown Hinson has performed with many famous musicians. These include artists from rockabilly, country, and psychobilly music styles. Some of these artists are The Reverend Horton Heat and Marty Stuart.
In 2008, Stuart Baker also played bass and lead guitar in Billy Bob Thornton's band, The Boxmasters. For these shows, he did not use his Unknown Hinson look. Instead, he wore a vintage 1960s suit.
In 2012, Hinson announced he would stop touring after 17 years. He mentioned that touring had become too expensive. However, after his wife passed away, Unknown Hinson started touring again. In 2020, he shared that he would not be playing shows anymore due to a health condition called osteoarthritis. In 2023, he shared that he was recovering from two strokes and was doing physical therapy.

Unknown Hinson writes and produces all of his own music. His songs often make fun of certain parts of country music and rural culture. In 2009, his song "Torture Town" won an award. It was recognized as one of the best alternative country songs.
Voice Acting Roles
Stuart Baker, using his real name, provided the voice for Early Cuyler. Early Cuyler is a character on the Cartoon Network show Squidbillies. He is a hillbilly squid from Georgia. Baker voiced this character for 15 years, from 2005 to 2019.
