Early Life and Family

Usman Mukhtar was born in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. His mother, Nasira, was a famous actress who appeared in many films. She was known for playing villain roles. His grandfather was a lawyer.

Usman wanted to become a movie director from a young age. However, his family did not fully support this dream. So, instead of going to film school, he studied journalism. He also once thought about becoming a professional cricketer. But again, his family encouraged him to choose a different path.

Usman Mukhtar married Zunaira Inam Khan in April 2021. They had a daughter born on February 23, 2025.

Usman's Career Journey

Usman Mukhtar started his career behind the camera. He began as a filmmaker in 2006. A year later, in 2007, he also started acting in theatre plays. He directed many music videos and short films.

Becoming a Director

In June 2022, Usman released a horror short film called Gulabo Rani. This film was very popular and won an award. It received the Best Short Film Award at the 2022 Los Angeles Sci-Fi & Horror Festival.

Acting Roles

Usman Mukhtar got his first big break as a film actor in 2018. He had a supporting role in the 2016 film Janaan. In 2018, he also appeared in Parchi. For Parchi, he also worked as the cinematographer, which means he was in charge of how the film was shot.

In 2019, Usman made his television debut. He starred in the Hum TV drama Anaa. This was his first main role on TV. He acted alongside Naimal Khawar in this series.
