Usman Mukhtar (Urdu: عثمان مختار) was born on July 27, 1985. He is a talented Pakistani actor, director, producer, and cinematographer. This means he acts in movies and TV shows, directs them, helps make them happen as a producer, and even works with cameras to film them.

Early Life and Big Dreams

Usman Mukhtar was born in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. His mother, Nasira, was a famous actress. She starred in many films and was known for playing villain roles. His grandfather was a lawyer.

Usman always dreamed of becoming a movie director. However, his family did not fully support this dream at first. Because of this, he studied journalism instead of going to a film school.

He also had a passion for cricket. At one point, he wanted to become a professional cricketer. But again, his family encouraged him to choose a different path.

Usman Mukhtar married Zunaira Inam Khan in April 2021. Their wedding was a small, private ceremony.

Becoming a Director

Usman Mukhtar started his career behind the camera in 2006. He began by directing music videos and short films. He also started acting in theatre plays in 2007.

In June 2022, he released a horror short film called Gulabo Rani. This film was very popular and won an award. It received the Best Short Film Award at the 2022 Los Angeles Sci-Fi & Horror Festival.

Acting on Screen

Usman Mukhtar got his first big chance as a film actor in 2018. He played a smaller role in the 2016 film Janaan.

In 2018, he had another supporting role in the movie Parchi. For this film, he also worked as the cinematographer, handling the camera work.

His television debut and first main role came in 2019. He starred in the Hum TV drama Anaa alongside Naimal Khawar.

In 2020, Usman hosted the Hum Style Awards. He then played "Dr. Haris" in another Hum TV drama called Sabaat. In this show, he acted opposite Sarah Khan.

In 2021, he appeared in the drama serial Sinf-e-Aahan. The same year, he played Aswad in the drama serial Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay. He acted alongside famous stars like Mahira Khan and Kubra Khan in this show.

Becoming a Producer

In April 2022, Usman Mukhtar took on a new role. He became a producer by starting his own company called Eastern Terrestrial (ET) Studios. He launched this company with actor Meiraj Haq. Their goal is to find and help new, talented people in the entertainment industry.
