Víctor Walberto Crisólogo Espejo (born July 12, 1952 – died January 17, 2021) was a politician from Peru. He worked as a Congressman for the Áncash area from 2011 to 2016. Sadly, he passed away on January 17, 2021, due to COVID-19 during the COVID-19 pandemic in Peru.
Life and Early Education
Víctor Crisólogo was born in Virú, Peru, on July 12, 1952. He went to primary school in Coishco and secondary school in Chimbote. Later, from 2005 to 2009, he studied law and political science at the Los Ángeles de Chimbote Catholic University. He earned a degree in law.
Political Career
Víctor Crisólogo was a member of the Peru Posible party starting in the early 2000s. He first tried to become the mayor of Santa province in the 2002 local elections, but he did not win.
In 2006, he ran for Congress in Áncash with the National Restoration party, but he was not elected. That same year, he also ran for regional vice president of Áncash. He finished in eleventh place.
In the 2011 general elections, he ran for Congress again with the Peru Posible party. This time, he won his election for Áncash. He received 12,352 votes. He served as a Congressman from 2011 to 2016. In 2016, he tried to become a representative to the Andean Parliament, but he was not successful.
