Valentin Kozmich Ivanov (Russian: Валентин Козьмич Иванов, born November 19, 1934 – died November 8, 2011) was a famous Russian football player. He played as a midfielder and was known for his speed, great dribbling, and excellent skills with the ball.
Valentin Ivanov was one of the best Russian football players ever. He was a top scorer in the 1962 FIFA World Cup and also shared the top scorer title at the 1960 European Nations' Cup.
He played 59 games for the Soviet Union and scored 26 goals. This makes him the third-highest goal scorer for the Soviet national team. He spent most of his club career playing for Torpedo Moscow, where he scored 124 goals in 286 games. This is the 9th best record in the history of the Soviet Championship.

Valentin Ivanov married Lidiya Ivanova, who was also a famous athlete. She won Olympic gold medals in gymnastics in 1956 and 1960.
Their son, also named Valentin, followed in his father's footsteps in football. He became a well-known international football referee.
