Valeria Bruni Tedeschi is a talented actress, screenwriter, and film director. She was born on November 16, 1964. Valeria is from both Italy and France. She has starred in many movies and directed several films. One of her films, A Castle in Italy, was even nominated for a big award called the Palme d'Or at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.
Her Film Career
Valeria Bruni Tedeschi started directing films in 2003. Her first film as a director was called It's Easier for a Camel.... This movie won two awards at the Tribeca Film Festival. She won for being a "Best New Narrative Filmmaker" and also for "Best Actress". The film also received an award at the Ankara Flying Broom Women's Film Festival. It also won the Louis Delluc Prize for Best First Film.
In 2005, Valeria attended the Berlinale, which is the Berlin International Film Festival. She was there to promote two movies she acted in. These were Tickets and Crustacés et Coquillages. Tickets was a special film with three different parts. Each part was directed by a famous director.
Valeria continued her directing career in 2007. She directed a film called Actrices. This movie won a special award at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. More recently, her 2022 film Les Amandiers (also known as Forever Young) was also shown at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. It was part of the main competition.

Valeria Bruni Tedeschi was born in Turin, Italy. Her mother is Marisa Borini and her father was Alberto Bruni Tedeschi. She has a younger sister named Carla Bruni. Both Valeria and Carla now live in France.
Their family moved to Paris in 1973. They moved because of safety concerns in Italy at the time. Valeria grew up speaking both Italian and French. She has Italian citizenship. She also became a French citizen on July 31, 2006.
Valeria has one adopted daughter from Senegal. She adopted her daughter in 2009.
