Valeria Virginia Laura Marini was born in Rome, Italy. Her mother was from Sardinia, and her father was from Rome. Valeria grew up in Cagliari.
Early Career in Entertainment
Valeria started her acting journey in 1987 with a film called Cronaca nera. A few years later, in 1991, she performed in a theatre comedy called I ragazzi irresistibili.
Her television debut happened in 1992 on a show called Luna di miele (Honeymoon). A director named Pierfrancesco Pingitore noticed her on this show. He chose her to join the Bagaglino shows. These were popular theatre shows that were also shown on TV.
Valeria became very famous in Italy after appearing in many Bagaglino shows. In 1997, she was chosen to host the important Sanremo Festival alongside Mike Bongiorno and Piero Chiambretti.
Valeria's Work in Films and TV
Valeria Marini has acted in many films. In the 2000s, she also started a career as a fashion designer, creating her own clothing lines.
She has appeared in several reality TV shows. In 2006, she was part of Reality Circus. In 2010, she helped host a TV show called I raccomandati. That same year, she had a small role playing herself in the movie Somewhere, directed by Sofia Coppola.
In 2012, Valeria was a contestant on L'isola dei Famosi, which is the Italian version of the show Survivor. She also acted in the film A Golden Boy in 2014. In 2015, she competed on Notti sul ghiaccio, the Italian version of Skating with Celebrities.
In 2016, she joined the first season of Grande Fratello VIP, which is like Celebrity Big Brother in Italy. In 2018, she was on a special episode of High ... with Daniele Marcheggiani and Chiara Condrò.
