Valerie Buhagiar was born on May 12, 1963. She is a talented actress, film director, and TV host from Malta and Canada.
Valerie studied acting at George Brown College in Toronto, Ontario. She graduated in 1986. Her first time making a film was with The Passion of Rita Camilleri. This film won a special award at the Chicago Film Festival in 1993. She has also hosted shows about movies on Canadian TV channels like Showcase and TVOntario.

Valerie's Creative Journey
Valerie Buhagiar has done many amazing things in movies and on stage. She started her journey by writing, directing, and producing her first film, The Passion of Rita Camilleri. This film won several awards around the world. A film festival even showed many of her past works as an actor and director.

Valerie has directed several other films, including One Day I Stood Still and L’amour L’amour Shut the Door Por Favor. She also directed BoomBoom Baby Wants to Go. She has made short films and videos for different groups and events. For example, she directed a public service announcement for a group called C.O.R.E. She also made video images for a theatre play. Two of her films, Tell Us the Truth Josephine and Small, Stupid and Insignificant, won awards for best experimental film.
