Valle Gran Rey is a cool town (called a municipality) on the western side of La Gomera island in Spain. It's part of the Canary Islands, which are a group of islands off the coast of Africa. Long ago, the native people called Guanches lived here, and they knew this area as Orone.
Since 1930, the main office for the town's government has been in a place called La Calera. Before that, it was in Arure. In 2013, about 4,240 people lived here. The town covers an area of about 32.36 square kilometers (12.5 square miles). To the east, Valle Gran Rey shares a border with another town called Vallehermoso. To the west, you'll find the big Atlantic Ocean!
