Vansant is a small community in Buchanan County, Virginia, USA. It is known as a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's an area the government counts for population. In 2010, about 470 people lived there. Vansant is located just south of the town of Grundy.

Vansant is found in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains. It sits right on the banks of the Levisa Fork river. You can find Vansant where two main roads meet: U.S. Route 460 and State Route 83. This area is also known for its coalfields.
