Veedersburg is a town located in Fountain County, Indiana, in the United States. It is part of Van Buren Township. In 2020, about 2,098 people lived there.

History of Veedersburg
Veedersburg was not always called by its current name. It used to be known as Chambersburg. This older town was first settled in the spring of 1823. Early settlers Jonathan Birch and John Colvert made their homes near Coal Creek.
Chambersburg was first located in Cain Township. Later, in 1841, it became part of the newer Van Buren Township. The town of Veedersburg was officially founded in 1871. It was named after one of its founders, Peter S. Veeder. Just one year later, in 1872, Veedersburg became an incorporated town. This means it officially became a town with its own local government.

According to the census from 2010, there were 2,180 people living in Veedersburg. These people lived in 878 households, and 605 of these were families. The town had about 801.5 people per square mile. There were 967 housing units, which are places where people live.
