Vejbystrand is a lovely coastal town in Sweden. It is located in Skåne County. In 2010, about 2,721 people lived there. Until 2015, Vejbystrand was a special kind of town. It belonged to two different local areas, called municipalities: Ängelholm Municipality and Båstad Municipality. Now, it is fully part of Ängelholm.

A Place for Healing
Long ago, Vejbystrand was known for its very clean and fresh air. This air came from the coast. Because of this, it became a famous place for people who were sick with lung diseases. One common illness was tuberculosis.
A special hospital called Kronprinsessan Victorias kustsanatorium was built here. It opened in 1903. The kitchen and administration building of this hospital was a very well-known building in Vejbystrand. This building was taken down in 2010. New apartments are being built in its place.

Today, Vejbystrand is a popular place for vacations. Many people from Sweden and other countries visit. They come to enjoy the coast and relax.
